Thanks to all those who turned up for the Race Night in January. Someone always profits at horse racing!! It is always a great evening. Thanks to Ciaran Kennelly, for a great box, right on top of the winning post, and to Conor Maguire and Harry O’Neill for the arrangements. A marvelous view, friends, great food and wine, the best service in town! What else could you want? Don’t miss the chance next year.
You will shortly received application forms for the Annual Ball to be held on the 16th March 2002. If you or your guests have special dietary requirements (vegetarian etc.) please include a note in your application form. Please note also that completed application forms and full payment should be sent to the Society at GPO Box 615, Hong Kong to reach there as soon as possible, and the latest by 20th February 2002. Do it now, and save on stress later!
The ever popular Quiz Night with Quiz Master extraordinaire, the one and only Harry O’Neill, will be held on Friday 22nd February 2002 at the Hong Kong Cricket Club, 137 Wong Nai Chung Gap Road, Hong Kong, commencing at 7:30p.m.. The cost of tickets will be HKD350 per person. Teams should consist of a maximum of 4 persons. If you do not have a foursome it should be possible to join up with other members on the night to form a team. Please complete and return the attached form to GPO Box 615 Hong Kong before the 19th February.
Delaneys (Hong Kong and Kowloon) and the Dublin Jack have once again responded enthusiastically, for members of the Society to receive a discount card offering 10% discount on food, drink and merchandise at their popular establishments. Dublin Jack is always a great favourite and Delaney’s (Wanchai) has had a stupendous renovation, with more facilities, restaurant, sports bar etc.. The Member’s discount cards, which will have a life of 2 years, are expected to be available shortly and will be dispatched by the Society to members.
